Superb Skiing
The snow kept falling during our family holiday over New Year. The temperatures were well below freezing -15 one day at mid station. Extra layers were essential. My youngest son Lewis found it cold on his hands despite good gloves and liners but once we bought hand warmers he was fine. For those of you that have not used them before they are about the size of a tea bag and you just pop them inside your glove and they stay hot for 7 hours! Magic! They cost about £1 a pair in the UK but in Les Gets they are about £4 a pair so you have been warned.

Summer 2007
Spent the summer in Les Gets and Antibes, on the South of France. The weather was fab at both places. This mountainbiking thingy, in Les Gets, is awesome! Never done it before but we really enjoyed it. Family runs are on both the Chavannes and Mont Chery, graded like the ski runs green easyish, through to black for the lunies! The village was busy with bikers and walkers. Spent a day at the lake hot and sunny and the boys played on the water slides. Only problem we had was a 3 hour queue for the Mont Blanc tunnel both going south and coming back to Les Gets, ouch!!!!!

New Year & Schoolboy Errors
New Year was Fun!! Lots happened, car broke down on the autoroute, then broke the the tail light on the car, our friends daughter broke her wrist skiing in Morzine and our youngest son Lewis was ill. The snow was great though!!!!!!!! These things happen and we had a great last 5 days. All the runs were open and that meant that queues were not so long at the lifts. Tim Scott from Les Gets Snowsports took the boys for fun and lessons on the slopes and they had a great time from 10.30-1.30 for 5 days.
